This year’s theme, Oral Health and the Para-Athlete, places a powerful focus on the role dentistry plays in supporting performance, overall health, and wellbeing within para-sport. The programme will explore the unique anatomical, medical, behavioural, and accessibility considerations involved in treating para-athletes, alongside sessions on trauma management, preventive strategies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and delivering truly inclusive care in both elite and community settings. A highlight of the day will be a dedicated athlete Q&A session, offering delegates the opportunity to hear directly from a para-athlete about their lived experience of sport, healthcare, performance pressures, and the importance of multidisciplinary support. The 2025 UK Sports Dentistry Conference brought together clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals from across the country for a day of innovation, collaboration, and inspiration. Hosted in the superb venue of voco Manchester, the conference showcased the very best of sports dentistry, highlighting how oral health continues to shape athlete wellbeing and performance.
This year’s programme featured an exceptional line-up of speakers, including five women leaders in the field – a true celebration of the growing diversity and expertise within our community.

Hosted in Edinburgh, the conference provided a platform for sharing knowledge, developing new skills, and strengthening connections across the sports dentistry community.
